In the workshop

The workshop is currently operating on Tuesdays and Fridays from 9.00 am to 12.30 pm, with morning tea from 10:30-11:00. Further days may be added as shed membership expands. Click here to find where we are located.

To use the workshop you must become a member, follow a simple induction process and agree to obey the Code of Conduct. The Code of Conduct is one measure that has been put in place to ensure members’ safety.

In the workshop, men work on their own projects, either alone or in pairs, or on joint projects that develop the shed or respond to specific community needs. Members also work on items that residents have brought in for repair or restoration.

Our more experienced shed members are always ready to share their knowledge of woodworking to help others develop their skills. However, there is no pressure and members may also simply relax and enjoy the company of others.
